2754868 - Unix execution error reported on SAP programs

Symptom

Unix / Linux systems report execution error when starting SAP executables.

The actual error is different for each platform, for example:

  • AIX                 -bash: ./<executable>: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error
  • Linux               ksh: <executable>: 0403-006 Execute permission denied.
  • Solaris             <executable>: Cannot find /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2
