2754942 - Change Audit: RBP User Role Change Report

Symptom

  • The RBP User Role Change Report is missing some information;
  • What is available to audit in RBP?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Admin Center > Change Audit Reports;
  2. Select configuration data report;
  3. Click on RBP User Role Change Report and select the option;
  4. Run the report;
  5. User has generated a report using the Change Audit -  RBP User Role Change Report feature. They noticed that not all of the columns are populated. e.g. Changed By User (Username), Proxy:Logged in User (Username)

Cause

This is expected behaviour. The User Role Change Report is designed to show changes to the RBP role assignments and the users affected. The details on who made the changes are not captured in this report.

In addition, any one report, of a given type and scope, does not necessarily include a column for every data point listed or may include some columns with no data.

Resolution

The Change Audit Report is the report designed to capture the changes made by/to a user.

  • What is available to audit in RBP?

You can perform an audit about Roles and Groups. It is not supported to audit Dynamic Groups.

For addtional information about RBP Group Change Report and RBP Role Change Report, access the SAP Portal : Configuration Data Audit Reports

Please note that for those reports with results v4admin or jobuser for Changed by User (Username) column, these are the triggered by the RBP refresh job and scenarios below will trigger it:

  •       User attributes change -> RBP refresh job trigger - > RBP User Role Change
  •       Permission Group change -> RBP refresh job trigger - > RBP User Role Change
  •       Permission Role change - > User Interface manually changed and RBP refresh job trigger-> RBP User Role Change

For RBP User Role Change from RBP job, the create by will be v4admin or jobuser.

For the RBP User Role Change from UI, the create by will be current login user.

Note: If the current feature does not meet the requirements for the customer, please submit an Enhancement Request(s) in order to have these options considered in future releases. Product Management regularly review requests from customers when planning new features in the product.
