2755192 - How to manually clean up and rebuild the Platform Search index

Symptom

  • Platform Search is not working, and it's required to rebuild the complete index
  • The following errors may be seen:
    In Central Management Console (CMC) -> Platform Search -> Index Location:
    Platform Search is not available because the BI Platform cannot validate the search's file path

    In CMC -> Applications -> Platform Search Application -> Properties
    Indexing status: Search service metrics not available

    Searching in BI Launchpad returns the following error:
    An error occurred while searching.:IDL:RemoteMethodInvocationException:1.0
