2755241 - Warning 7043 and 7044 about vertical memory control and SRS grow beyond configured memory limit - SRS

Symptom

  • Distributor (DIST) stops
  • replication stops
  • memory_control is set to smart
  • memory usage grows beyond memory_limit
  • Operating System top command shows virtual memory greater than Repserver's memory_limit
  • SRS errorlog has the following messages repeatedly:

    • WARNING #7043 SQT(nnn:1 DIST PDS.PDB) - ...WARNING: Module 'SQT' run into vertical memory control due to memory usage above threshold(8 percent).
    • WARNING #7044 SQT(nnn:1 DIST PDS.PDB) - ...WARNING CANCEL: Module 'SQT' cancel vertical memory control.
    • WARNING #7038 WORKER( ) - ...WARNING: Memory usage is above 80 percent. Increase 'memory_limit' or reduce cache sizes to avoid repserver threads from sleeping due to lack of memory.
