2755277 - HADR: Fault Manager cannot be stopped if host is down - SAP ASE 16.0

Symptom

  • We shut down the standby host and then try to stop Fault Manager (FM) using 'sybdbfm stop'.
  • “call is running” repeated messages keep coming and FM cannot be stopped: 

dbctrl call cnt: 1 .
dbctrl call is already running -> wait.
dbctrl call cnt: 1 .
dbctrl call is already running -> wait.
...

  • FM has to be killed.
