Symptom
The territory is assigned to account although the condition sets on territory rule is not true.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
Territory Management and Multiple Territories have to be scoped on the system.
-
Go to the Sales work center.
- Go to the Realignment Runs work view.
- Click Maintain Territory Rules.
- Click Download.
- Open the Excel file and edit a rule as is not equal to ( <>&1 ) for different Countries using range option OR ( &1 ; &2 ) - This information is maintained on Input Help sheet.
- On C4C, upload and edited Excel file.
- Click Save.
- Click Action and select Activate Rules.
- Go to the Customer work center.
- Go to the Account work view.
- Click New and create an Account with one of the Country maintained as is not equal to.
- Click Actions and select Derive Territory.
Result: Under the Sales Territories facet the territory associated to the excluded Country has been assigned, although the Country is maintained as excluded (is not equal to).
Cause
The OR operand condition has been maintained for Country.
Resolution
To exclude the several Countries on the same rule, the user must use the Excel file and configure the rule as (AND) Unless instead of OR, following the described steps:

Go to the Sales work center.

Go to the Realignment Runs work view.

Click Maintain Territory Rules.

Click Download.

Open the Excel file and edit a rule as is not equal to ( <>&1 ) for different Countries using range option (AND) Unless ( <>&1 ; exclude &2 ; &3) - This information is maintained on Input Help sheet.

On C4C, upload and edit Excel file.

Click Save.

Click Action and select Activate Rules.
