Symptom
- An application error is being received when adding or editing dependent information for a user.
- Workflow approval for adding or editing dependent information results in an application error when approving.
Environment
- Employee Central - Dependents Management.
- Employee Central - Workflows.
Reproducing the Issue
1. Add a new dependent or edit details for an existing dependent for a user. Upon saving, an application error occurs with a fingerprint=1e0da38c1ec73ced37d1661e01d642a1bf6a52eb
Or
2. Trigger a workflow for a change in dependent information (adding a new dependent or editing data for an existing dependent). When hitting the approve workflow button, an application error occurs with a fingerprint=1e0da38c1ec73ced37d1661e01d642a1bf6a52eb
Cause
The subject user, for which a dependent is being added/modified does not have a hire date in the USERS_SYS_INFO table.
In short, the hire date of the subject user is not in sync between Employee Central and Employee Profile.
Resolution
Run a one time Full HRIS Sync to ensure that the hire date of the subject user is synchronized between Employee Central and Employee Profile.
