2757185 - A query with very large nested SQL expressions causes server hang - SAP IQ

Symptom

SAP IQ 15.4 hang when running a query with very large nested SQL expressions.
We can see lots of threads like below when IQ becomes non-responsive for a period of 20 minutes to few hours:
