SAP Jam notifications trigger a notification into the SFSF notifications bell, so you get informed about all notifications in one place on the SFSF side.
Depending on the notification it leads you to different inboxes - also on the SFSF side, it doesn't have just one central inbox yet.
Regarding API: As of today SAP Jam only offers an API that allows you to get notifications, but not to post notifications from the outside into SAP Jam. With the get-notification API you could of course get all notifications and display them together with other notifications in one inbox. But this requires a custom development work to be done from customer/partner done .
