2757418 - Short Dump When Downloading Exported Files from Change Collector

When attempting to download the file of the Changes in a Change Collector Run, a short dump or maintenance window is displayed.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Application and User Management work center
2. Select Change Collector view
3. Select the Run ABC (Where ABC refers to the Run ID)
4. Scrolldown and select the Execution sub-tab.
5. Click on the Execution XYZ (Where XYZ refers to the Execution ID)
6. Select the Changes tab.
7. Click on the Export button.
8. Click on To Microsoft Excel button.

The short dump or maintenance window page is displayed.

Cause for the issue is that the data volume limits crossed, due to which export functionality is not working. The reason for this is that excel allows a maximum size of 2 GB data. When this size is exceeded the dump occurs. This is an issue with excel which limits the file size to 2 GB.

To avoid exceeding the 2 GB size limit, it is necessary to split the condition into smaller groups and then export them.
