  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Resolution

As an administrator, you can use the Manage Alerts and Notifications dashboard to filter, view and delete pending Employee Central Alerts and To-Dos.

Prerequisites:

You have the Manage Alerts and Notifications permission. You can find it under Administrator Permissions  Manage Workflows in the Manage Permission Roles admin tool.

There are two filters that are required in order to search for your pending alerts and To-Dos you want to manage:

  • Alert Type
  • Entity Type

All other fields are optional

You can delete a pending alert or to-do one of two ways:

●Select the Delete button that is associated with your pending alert or to-do

●For mass deletions, select all pending alerts or To-Dos you want to remove by selecting the checkbox that's associated with it.

When you mark pending alerts or To-Dos for deletion, a prompt appears that state how many selected and if you want to continue. When you want to continue, select the Delete button, otherwise, select Cancel.

 Note : The pending alert todo is the triggered alert that appears in the recipient's todo list and has not been marked as "Done" yet.

  • Alert recipients are defined through workflow foundation objects. Workflow approvers are those who receives the alert on to-do cards and CC roles only receive the alert through email notifications. Workflow approvers and CC roles are used only for the purposes of defining alert recipients. Workflow contributors do not receive any alerts.

Common Scenario

How Alert is Sent

Only CC roles assigned to workflow

Email notifications only

Only workflow step approvers assigned to workflow

To-do items are created as alerts.

Both CC roles and workflow step approvers assigned to workflow

E-mail notifications are sent out to CC roles and To-Do items are created as alerts for workflow step approvers
