2758134 - What is correlationID in a RCM URL? - Recruiting

When a candidate completes a job application the final URL presents a parameter called correlationID.

In this article we are going to explain the purpose of such parameter.

• SAP SuccessFactors Recuiting Management (RCM)

Correlation ID is a required field used in the API (Application Program Interface) for the integration between RCM and RMK with Candidate Account Simplification (CAS) feature enabled. This type of parameter is used internally in two scenarios:

1. New user scenario: new user will also get created in RMK via CAS data upsert API along with all IP information and agent will get created if agent data is available in correlation record.
2. Existing user scenario: Agent will get created only if agent data is available in correlation record and user have no agents already.

In this context, such parameter is internal and should not be considered by customers as a useful information to track candidates.
