2758302 - UPDATE STATISTICS permission denied - SAP ASE for BS

Symptom

  • During SAP application upgrade phases MAIN_TRANSEXEC/UPDATE_DBSTATS_ACT_TRANS or MAIN_SWITCH / XCNV_LOAD all update statistics fail with error:

  • This can also happen after the upgrade. Update statistics is not executed via ATM, no information in ATM queue and from ATM log you can see the error:

UPDATE STATISTICS permission denied on object TABLE_NAME, database DB_NAME, owner SAPSR3

Msg 10330, Level 14, State 1:
Server message:
Update statistics of DB_NAME.SAPSR3.TABLE_NAME
