Symptom
SAP Jam admin wants to restrict content creation access for non-admin users.
Environment
SAP Jam
Resolution
SAP Jam offer a few ways to restrict users from creating content at company level and group level.
- To restrict content creation at Company level,
- Uncheck the option "Enable Company wide content creation" under Jam admin console- Product Setup -> Features section.
This will restrict posts and content creation rights for users within groups only. The following section of the Admin guide details this -> Configure SAP Jam Collaboration Features
Note: Unchecking this option will hide pre-existing company level content (e.g. Posts in Home Feed)
- To restrict content creation at Group level,
- Set Group Collaboration Level to 'Read-only'. The setting is available under the Group Admin menu- Edit Group -> Participation tab.
With this setting, Non group administrator users can view and download group content, but they are not allowed to comment, tag, post or edit. The following section of the Group Admin guide details this, as well as the other collaboration level options-> Participation
