Symptom

  • How to create Concurrent Employment and Global Assignment via Manage Pending Hires
  • This feature will allow internal employees to apply for Global Assignment or Concurrent Employment roles within Recruitment Management, and if accepted, being hired via Manage Pending Hire tool.

Reproducing the Issue

Please use the following steps to configure this feature post 1902 release:

  1. Create a custom picklist
  2. Create the custom fields in the Job Application Template
  3. Make these new custom fields reportable
  4. Create the mapping in the Candidate to Employee Template

Resolution

Please note that implementing this functionality requires several changes to Recruiting Management configuration files, which will require an Implementation Consultant to perform these actions.

1. Define a custom picklist called 'employmentIndicatorPicklist' which consists of following values

** Note: MDF Picklist must be created for Picklist Migrated instances and legacy picklists for other instances

 

2. Define Custom Fields in 'Job Application Template'

3. Make these new custom fields reportable:

Please make these fields reportable under the Application tab in Provisioning - Configure Reportable Custom Fields as per KBA 2081508 - Custom Reportable Recruiting Fields - Recruiting Management.

4. Mapping Custom Fields to EC Fields:

Once the custom fields are configured, this needs to be mapped to the standard EC Placeholders in the 'Candidate to Employee Integration Template' - Note: All field names in mappings are case-sensitive.

In RCM, you can now select the 'Employment Indicator' to flag the employement type as Global Assignment or Concurrent Employment. Once the employee is flagged as Ready to Hire, they will appear in Manage Pending Hires with the corresponding employment type:
