2760399 - How to Reactivate Tax Codes

Symptom

You want to reactivate a tax code NN (NN stands for the tax code) for the country ABC (ABC stands for the country name) which has been set to obsolete.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work centre.
  2. Go to the Overview view.
  3. Search for the Activity Tax on Goods and Services and select it.
  4. Click on the Change Immediately button.
  5. Under Tax Codes, click on the Define Tax Codes link.

The Tax code NN for the country ABC has been set obsolete.

Resolution

You can reactivate the tax code as follows:

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work centre.
  2. Go to the Overview view.
  3. Search for the Activity Tax on Goods and Services and select it.
  4. Click on the Change Immediately button.
  5. Under Tax Codes, click on the Define Tax Codes link.
  6. Click on the Add Row button and add the country ABC.

All Tax Codes for country ABC are shown and all Tax Codes marked as obsolete under "Is Obsolete" can be edited.

  1. Uncheck the Is Obsolete button for the tax code and click save.
  2. An error message asking to enter details for the new country is asked.
  3. Select the new country ABC added and click delete.
  4. Click save.

Search and select Country ABC, the tax code NN which was obsolete is now active again.
