2761041 - Handle appearance of IdP selection screen before SSO is enabled in SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Datasphere

When navigating to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or SAP Datasphere (DS), a blue screen with two links appears:

• or sign in with:

• Multiple URLs in SAP Analytics Cloud welcome page
• IdP selection Screen
• Multiple identity providers (IdP) used in SAP Analytics Cloud after configuring SAP Analytics Cloud with a custom SAML 2.0 IdP.

• SAP Analytics Cloud
• Non-SAP Datacenter (Cloud Foundry)
• SAP Datasphere (SAP Datacenter)

1. Configure a custom SAML on SAC or DS as per the Enable a Custom SAML Identity Provider help guide.
2. Begin the procedure for switching the IdP.
3. Click the Verify Account button.

This screen displays two links, one will load the new IdP, the other loads the current IdP. The system owner needs to verify that they can log into SAP Analytics Cloud with the new IdP before the switch can happen. The other users on the system can use the other link to continue to log into SAP Analytics Cloud/SAP Datasphere.

During custom SAML IdP configuration: If this issue is occurring when you are configuring your SAP Analytics Cloud system with a custom IdP, this is by design.

However, if the issue occurs after the IdP switch is successful, the new IdP will be used by default and the screen should not appear anymore.

If this screen shows after the IdP switch is successful, then please complete the following steps;

1. Navigate to System > Administration > Security and do all the steps for custom SAML as per the guide.
2. Note: If there are more than 2 IdP selections are shown on this Welcome page, you will need to complete the following steps for each custom IdP that is shown on this screen, by uploading the metadata of each Custom IdP you wish to remove.
3. After step 4, click Verify Account. This will open the verification dialog. Click Cancel to close the dialog.
4. The IdP selection screen should now be hidden.
