2761619 - Hires that are Inactive in BizX are Still Showing in Onboarding

Symptom

  • Inactive/active status is not updating in Onboarding
  • Inactive users still appear under  Security>Users in Onboarding

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Cause

The Onboarding system does not recognise Inactive users, as it does not have this capability.
"Locked Out" status is applied to the associated Onboarding user if their BizX profile is Inactive, or if the user is has entered the wrong login details too many times they will also show as Locked Out in Onboarding.

Even if the user is Locked Out in Onboarding, they can still be selected for onboarding processes as the Locked Out status does not prevent them from being assigned to a process.
This is expected behaviour of the Onboarding system.

Resolution

  1. Verify a user is inactive by going to Admin Center and selecting Update User Information > Employee Export > click on Export User File button. (This will export the UserDirectory file.)
  2. After confirming the user is inactive, go under Secuirty > Users and verify that the 'Is Locked Out' option is checked. It is expected behaviour for users to have 'Is Locked Out' if they are inactive. This means the user will not be found in the work queue.
  3. If the 'Is Locked Out' option is NOT checked, but you have confirmed the user is inactive in the UserDirectory file, then please open an case with Product Support.
  4. If you want to remove a Locked Out user from Onboarding so that they are not associated with any onboarding process, you will need to manually delete them from the Onboarding System.
