2763361 - Technical Error Occurred During Posting of Organizational Center Changes for Fixed Asset

You are trying to change the cost center CCA (CCA stands for the current cost center in system) to cost center CCB (CCB stands for the new cost center) for the fixed asset AAA (AAA stands for the fixed asset ID).

You get the following error message:

"Technical error occurred during posting of organizational center changes for fixed asset AAA; report an incident."

"Save failed."

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Fixed Assets work center.
2. Go to the Fixed Assets view.
3. Search for Fixed Asset AAA and select it.
4. Click on Edit Master Data.
5. Navigate to the Basic Data subtab.
6. Under All Assignment intervals click on the Add Row button.
7. Under Details Assignment Interval, enter Start Date as DD.MM.YYYY and Cost Center as CCB.
8. Click Save.

You get the following error message:

"Technical error occurred during posting of organizational center changes for fixed asset AAA; report an incident."

"Save failed."

You can solve this by performing a dummy save as follows:

1. Go to the Fixed Assets work center.
2. Go to the Fixed Assets view.
3. Search for Fixed Asset AAA and select it.
4. Click on Edit Master Data.
5. Navigate to the Basic Data subtab.
6. Under All Assignment intervals click on the Add Row button.
7. Enter any date.
8. Delete the newly entered row.

The previous cost center assignment is set again to unlimited validity.

9. Click the Save button.
10. Again click the Add Row button.
11. Fill in the new organisation assignment details (Date as DD.MM.YYYY and cost center as CCB).
12. Click the Save button.

The cost center is now CCB with unlimited validity starting date DD.MM.YYYY.

if the issue persists, kindly open an incident with permission to perform the same changes from the frontend and backend.
