Environment

    • Do you want to replicate sales quotes from an external application to your cloud solution?
    • Do you want to replicate sales quotes from your cloud solution to an external application?
  9. Complete the scoping by clicking on Review and Finish

To check if External Pricing is available in the new Sales Quotes:

  1. Go to the Sales work center
  2. Go to Sales Quotes view
  3. Select New button
  4. Create a new Sales Quote XXXXX and select Save (where XXXXX represents the Sales Quote ID)
  5. Open the Sales Quote XXXXX in Edit mode
  6. In the Products facet, able to see the button Request External Pricing

Cause

System determines based on the Sales Quote's Document Type, if Internal Pricing or External Pricing is used. You may follow the below steps to check the settings of the Document Types in Sales Quotes:

  1. Go to Business Configuration work center
  2. Select Implementation Projects view
  3. Select the project and choose Open Activity list button
  4. Find and Open the fine-tuning activity Sales Quotes
  5. Select the link Maintain Document Types

The fine-tuning UI for Sales Quote's Document Types shows a column with indicator External Pricing, if scoping question for External Pricing has been selected.

Example:

Document type XYZ which is used in Sales Quote XXXXX, has been defined for External Pricing. Hence, for all Sales Quotes with Document Type XYZ, the External Pricing is used.

(where XYZ represents the Document Type of the Sales Quote)

In the meantime, you have deselected the scoping question for External Pricing and therefore, the column External Pricing is invisible.

Resolution

You may follow any one of the below options:

Option 1:

  1. Create a new Document Type PQR in the fine-tuning activity Sales Quotes (where PQR represents the Document Type of the Sales Quote).
  2. The Document Type would not have set indicator External Pricing.

The new Sales Quotes created with this Document Type would use Internal Pricing.

Or

  1. Temporarily select scoping question for External Pricing
  2. Deselect indicator External Pricing in fine-tuning for existing Document Type XYZ
  3. Deselect scoping question for External Pricing

The new Sales Quotes created with Document Type XYZ would use Internal Pricing.
