2763986 - Special characters escaped when loading to HIVE via ODBC - Data Services

Symptom

  • Special character loading issue to HIVE.
  • New line or line feed character is being loaded to the data as \n.
  • There is a \ (back slash) before an " (double quotes) within field data.
  • How does the ODBC driver handle specialy characters and why are they loaded to the HIVE document/table as escaped characters?
