2765314 - Cannot create/change material with error message “The view selection is empty”

Symptom

When clicking on “Create Material” app or "Change Material" app error message “The view selection is empty” is displayed in the popup window, material creation screen does not show up.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Click on “Create Material” App under “Product Master”.

Cause

User has no authorization with Maintenance Status of Material Master Record.

Resolution

Either use SAP standard role. If you use customer own role, please ensure maintain the correct restrictions in your role using the “Maintain Business Role” app in "Maintenance Status of Material Master Record" input field.  The maintenance status should be maintained as per required work departments (like D-->MRP , K--> BASIC DATA or '*' for full access).
