Cause

  • This error message related to the size of the name being used in the custom MDF object + the job name (the full job_name string generated by the system) used to create the import job, this can vary from validation and import where the name the job created can be longer for validation then import, so you may find you get the error for the validation but not for import or you may get the error for both validation and import.
  • When a String is too long and is attempted to be inserted into the JOB_NAME column in the database this error shows up.

Resolution

  • This is character length issue with the name of object + the job name.
  • Please try changing the object ID to shorter (We recommend you try to keep your naming of objects a small as possible)
  • If you recieve this error, the only option is to try a smaller name for the object.
