Symptom
- How to configure a custom-field on a Foundation Object to store the value of the Type "user".
- For example, if an employee, who is responsible to administer a Location, needs to be maintained on the Object.

- SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core - All Versions
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - All Versions
Resolution
- Export the Corporate Data Model and Navigate to the Custom-Field section on the Object. (Ex: Location)
- Configure a custom-string field, set it to the type "worker" as below:
<hris-field max-length="256" id="custom-string1" visibility="both" type="worker">
- Import the Data Model after making these changes and then go to the Location Object.
- The Field Appears on the Foundation Object which takes a user as an input value.
