2766373 - JMS Adapter with JMS 2.0 error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/jms/JMSRuntimeException

Symptom

You deployed JMS 2.0 library in a PI (or PO) system following SAP note 2643688 - How to prepare the JMS driver for IBM Websphere MQ server version 8.0, and the messages are failing with the error below:

com.sap.aii.adapter.jms.core.fsm.DFA$InvalidTransitionException: No transition found from state: ERROR, on event: process_commence for DFA

In the default trace, there will be exceptions as the one below:

Error starting channel: com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.object.ChannelImpl@3ba9221e with ID=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx due to java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/jms/JMSRuntimeException#

The system is 7.5 SP005 or higher and supports JMS 2.0 as described in SAP note 2310443 - JMS Adapter - Support for JMS 2.0
