Symptom

Button and field permission does not copy after cloning PM template.

Environment

SuccessFactors Performance Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Clone the template;
  2. Then go to manage template;
  3. Button and field permission not copied to new template.

Cause

After the Form Template gets loaded in the instance, customer maps the Route Map by going to Manage Templates -> Name of the Form Template -> General Settings -> Route Map.

Using the above approach, the FIELD PERMISSION and even the BUTTON PERMISSION will not be copied.

Resolution

To keep the FIELD PERMISSION and even the BUTTON PERMISSION after uploading your Form Template, you need to map your Route Map via Admin Center -> Form Template Settings -> Name of the Form Template -> Route Map.

Using this approach, the system calls the Step IDs of each route step of the Route Map, as long as the Route Map is mapped via Form Template Settings.
