2766912 - Territories Basic Search Not Working When Searching by Territory ID

Symptom

You are searching for the territory ID 123 (where 123 represents the Territory ID) in the territories basic search, but it's not retrieving the territory ID 123 in the results.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales work center.
  2. Go to the Territories view.
  3. In the basic search, type "123".
  4. Press Enter.

Cause

In the Territories view, the following fields participate in the basic search:

Name, ID, Owner, Account, External ID.

The territory ID 123 does not have an account maintained, therefore the basic query search is not satisfied.

Resolution

This is the expected system behavior.

All these fields should be fulfilled in order the basic search retrieve the territory in the results when searching by the territory ID.

If you directly type territory# 123's name, it should show territory 123 correctly.

As workaround, you can use the advanced search, and search by Sales Territory ID "123" directly.
