2766962 - PDF Document prompts to download or shows up blank using Internet explorer when using AICC wrapper

When launching a PDF content with AICC wrapper, the PDF is prompted to download instead of showing up in browser or, with course home enabled, the document does not display at all.

With Course home Disabled

1. Log into Admin
2. Select Content
3. Import FPD documentation from the wizard. 
4. Make sure to Launch in AICC wrapper is selected
5. Assign Content Object to item
6. Assign Item to user
7. Launch course with IE Adobe Addon Disabled (Course home disabled)
8. Prompt for download. 
9. Enable Adobe Addon 
10. Launch course again
11. No longer prompted for download. PDF displays in browser

With Course home Enabled.

1. Start from Step 7. 
2. Enable Course home in the System Admin-> Configuration -> System Configuration -> LMS Admin
3. Launch course with IE adobe Disabled. Document does not display and no download. 
4. Enable Adobe Addon
5. Launch Course again
6. PDF is enabled

This is a limitation on the browser as it does not have a way to display PDFs in browser.

• Please check with browser troubleshooting for this.
• An example of a solution, with Adobe acrobat reader is to enable the Addon in Internet explorer, per this site, it explains how to obtain it. Please note that this solution is provided by Adobe in this matter.
