2767193 - Account Relationship Does Not Allow Self-Reflexing Relationship Error: "You can't create XYZ Relationship between identical business partners"

You would like to create a relationship in an account, where the business partner is the account itself but you get the error "You can't create XYZ Relationship between identical business partners" (XYZ represents the relationship type such as Ship-To Party).

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the Customers work center.
2. Go to the Accounts work center view.
3. Edit an account ABC and go to the Relationships facet. (ABC represents the account name)
4. Click Add to add a new relationship, in the Business Partner field, select the account ABC.
5. Once you click Add to save, the error  "You can't create XYZ Relationship between identical business partners" occurs.

Self-referencing relationships are not allowed in C4C, because they do not have semantical meaning.

This is current standard behavior. Relationships should reflect the account's relationship to other business partners.
