Symptom

  • A query with following style ran slow when the statement cache is set to on.

    set rowcount xxxx
    go
    select .. from table where col1 in (.....)
    go

  • A sub-optimal with reformatting plan was choosen.
  • The same query ran fast when the statement cache is set to off.
