2771319 - How To: Create a Route for another User

Symptom

You have created Visits for the Employee ABC (ABC stands for the name of the Employee) and after displaying the Visits in the Employee's ABC Calendar, you click Save as Route to create a Route for the Employee's Visits. However, the new Route is created for your own logon user and not for the Employee ABC.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Visits workcenter.
  2. Click New to create new Visits and enter Employee ABC in the fields Owner and Organiser.
  3. Once the Visits are created, go to the Calendar workcenter.
  4. Click the lower right symbol and then Other Calendars.
  5. Find the calendar of the Employee ABC and display the Route for the new Visits.
  6. Click Save as Route.

Result: the Route is not created for the Employee ABC but for the logon user.

Cause

Routes for other Employees cannot be created from the Other Calendars; clicking Save as Route will create a Route for yourself. This is the expected behaviour.

Resolution

Please create Routes for another Employee from the Routes view.

  1. Go to the Visits workcenter.
  2. Go to the Routes view.
  3. Create a new Route for the Employee ABC and add the Visits in the Route.
