SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

2771539 - SMP 3.0 OData runtime server will not start due to missing files

Symptom

 

  • SMP 3.0 server won't start.  
  • The following error appears in the console:

    'Cannot Open Config_master\connection_data\connection.properties. Check the server log'

  • The SMP server log is not created
  • OSGI log shows:

    !ENTRY org.eclipse.equinox.launcher 4 0 2019-03-20 18:26:54.794
    !MESSAGE SMP-INIT-002 SAP Mobile Server - java.io.FileNotFoundException: .\config_master\com.sap.mobile.platform.server.version\version.properties (The system cannot find the path specified)
    !ENTRY org.eclipse.equinox.launcher 4 0 2019-03-20 18:26:54.794
    !MESSAGE Exception launching the Eclipse Platform:
    !STACK
