2772878 - Statement GRANT SELECT ON <OBJECT> TO <USER> fails with error "insufficient privilege: Not authorized"

Symptom

  • You had the issue described in SAP Note 2272874.
  • Now you are trying to grant your user/role the privileges listed in the Solution section of the note.
  • You can grant the privileges via Studio -> Security -> Users -> Object Privileges without problems.
  • However running the GRANT statement fails.
