Symptom
- ASE errorlog reports ELC_VALIDATION messages:
ELC_VALIDATION_ERROR: Page address not aligned to memory page size. memptr = 0x3030303030303030, pelc = 0x2aaaaf8a1f78, chunksize = 1, engine id = 62, validate_flag = 1
ELC_VALIDATION_CORRECTION: Backup page pointer 0x2ab1ace50800 was used. pelc = 0x2aaaaf8a1f78 , chunksize = 1 engine id = 62
- Followed by "infected with signal 11" errors in functions related to processing of prepared (dynamic) statements. The functions reported at the 'Address' line and in the stack traces will vary, for example:
- Current process (0x131b0476) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x00000000011ec107 (s_execclearvar+0x27), siginfo (code, address) = (128, 0x(nil))
- Current process (0x3b97042b) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x0000000001156b3e (a_remapqblockvar+0x8e), siginfo (code, address) = (128, 0x(nil))
- Current process (0x16cb07be) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x000000000124b182 (subp+0x52), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x0000000000000004)
- Signal 11 errors are followed by stack traces which may include any of the following functions:
subp
s_execclearvar
paramerr
subparams
s_execsetvar
tdsrecv__process_batchparam
tdsrecv__dynexec_batch
tdsrecv__dynexec
tdsrecv_dynamic
- The spid(s) affected will turn into a zombie process, for example:
task 1234567 is zombie
- The SQL Text section may show 'dyn10x' indicating a prepared statement was executed:
SQL causing error: dyn102
SQL Text: dyn102
