SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

2774864 - "Failed to call SAP Analytics Cloud Agent..." or "Please verify your configuration settings..." error when checking the datasource configuration in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • When you click the Check Configuration button (System > Administration > Datasource Configuration", you get one of the following errors:
    • "Failed to call SAP Analytics Cloud Agent. Please contact your administrator to ensure that SAP Analytics Cloud Agent is running, configured correctly, and is reachable from the SAP Cloud Platform Cloud Connector"
    • "Please verify your configuration settings to ensure all entered values are correct. If verified, please contact SAP Support regarding the configuration issue."
  • All import connections using same location do not work
  • The following error message could be observed from Chrome Network trace (HAR file)
    • Request URL: https://<SAC FQDN>/sap/fpa/services/rest/v1/locations/<location ID>/agent/version?&tenant=<...>
    • Response:

      {"message":"Please verify the SAP Cloud Platform Cloud Connector connection status under the SAP Cloud Platform account that is linked to your SAP Analytics Cloud system; and check the Cloud Connector logs to see if the network firewall is blocking access to the Cloud Platform.  If connected, please contact SAP Support regarding backend connectivity issue. HTTP Status: 503, Action: Check version","stack":"","errorDetails":[{"messageId":"CALL_CLOUD_AGENT_SERVICE_FAILED_HCP_503","message":"Please verify the SAP Cloud Platform Cloud Connector connection status under the SAP Cloud Platform account that is linked to your SAP Analytics Cloud system; and check the Cloud Connector logs to see if the network firewall is blocking access to the Cloud Platform.  If connected, please contact SAP Support regarding backend connectivity issue.   • No traffic is observed between SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and the SAP Cloud Platform (SAP CP) Cloud Connector and no related information is recorded in the SCC traffic trace file
