2774883 - SWPM System Copy ERROR: Unexpected end of file from server

Symptom

  • You are running Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM) to perform a system copy on the target system.

  • Your system is a distributed system, where your database exists on a separate host

  • You come across this error in sapinst_dev.log:

    • ERROR <timestamp> (root/sapinst) [/bas/749_REL/bc_749_REL/src/ins/SAPINST/impl/src/sapinst/CInstallerCallBackImpl.cpp:261] id=dbmodhdb.generic
      Error during execution of HdbCmdClazz 'GET_DEFAULT_DATA_BACKUP_LOCATION' : class com.sap.hdb.sl.lib.utils.cmd.clazz.CmdClazzParameterFactory, parameters received. Start execution. Check HdbCmdOut.log and HdbStdout.txt for further information.
