2774896 - Setting up Pages for Secure Portal

It was discovered that SmartEdit couldn't preview certain pages, such as the login and FAQ pages, if users tried to load the pages from the Pages view. This issue was discovered on B2B storefronts with the secureportaladdon addOn, which is provided as part of the b2b_acc_plus recipe. The secureportaladdon AddOn ensures that users are authenticated before they can browse a B2B site. It also allows users to request an account if they do not already have one.

To be able to preview special pages loaded from the Pages view, the following configurations are required:

  • You must add all customized pages to the previewUrlResolverPageMappings bean.
  • You must configure the SecurePortalBeforeControllerHandler to preview pages and load login pages.

Prerequisite: Prior to making the required configurations, you must set up SmartEdit to support cross origin domains. All B2B Accelerator storefronts installed using the b2b_acc_plus recipe with the secureportaladdon AddOn are deployed in cross origin environments, therefore you must set up SmartEdit to support this. For more information, see 2774855 - Setting Up Support for Cross Origin Domains in SmartEdit - 1811

Once you have set up SmartEdit for cross origin, you can access it at https://localhost:9002/smartedit.
