2774933 - Error Message "The combination of context elements is not supported" During Migration of Price List

Symptom

When you try to migrate Price List, system throws below error messages:

The combination of context elements is not supported.

The Sales Price list could not be released.

Releasing of XYZ not possible; prices are inconsistent.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

Go to Business Configuration work center.
Select Implementation Projects view or Overview.
Search and Open the migration activity Migration of Price Lists.
Execute Migration for the respective Migration File.

NOTE: This KBA is specific to migration of custom price lists and discount price lists.

Cause

For custom price lists and discount lists migration, only those fields are supposed to be filled in the migration template which can also be filled from the UI. Filling of extra or less fields in such a case, may confuse the system to identify the type price list/discount list the customer is trying to migrate leading to errors.

Therefore, only key fields maintained in the Business Configuration -> Configure Price Strategy are supposed to be filled for custom price lists/discount lists.

Resolution

This is expected system behavior.

Maintain values as described above and continue with the migration

For discount list in Account specific, there is no need to add Account ID at the Item level again. Kindly remove the entries maintained under Items->Account ID.
