2775449 - An Error Message Is Being Displayed While Trying to Merge Project Changes

An error message is being displayed while trying to merge a Project Change.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Business Configuration Work Center.
2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
3. Select project ABC.
4. Click button Actions.
5. Then, select Simulate button.
6. Once simulation is done, click 'see details'.
7. Error messages are shown:
• Value YYY in setting Miscellaneous Ledger General Ledger Account Alias must also be entered in setting Permitted G/L Accounts by Account Type and Posting
• Value YYY in setting General Ledger: Other Assets must also be entered in setting Permitted G/L Accounts by Account Type and Posting
• Acct YYY in COA BBB cannot be deleted/changed; transaction data exists

ABC Refers to project ID.

YYY Refers to General Ledger account.

BBB Refers to Chart of Accounts.

There are postings against this General Ledger Account and GL Account has been in the edit charts of account view of Business Configuration. Hence, system wouldn't allow deletion of General Ledger Account on Chart of Accounts.

You will need to maintain General Ledger Account then perform merge.

1. Go to the Business Configuration Work Center.
2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
3. Click Open activity List button.
4. Search for activity 'Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination'.
5. Open 'Edit Chart of Account'.
6. Maintain General Ledger Account YYY.
