2776003 - Error Message: Inventory ID is mandatory for legacy assets

You are unable to post a Goods and Service receipt in the unposted source documents as there is an error Inventory ID is mandatory for legacy assets.

Or

You are trying to perform 'Complete Scrapping' of a Fixed asset and system throws error message: 'Posting not possible; fixed asset incomplete' since the asset is incomplete.

SAP Business ByDesign.

Post a Goods and Service receipt:

1. Go to General ledger work center.
2. Go to closing cockpit view.
3. Select the Source document view.
4. Under the unposted source documents.
5. You find the Goods and Service receipt document with the error message Inventory ID is mandatory for legacy assets

Scrap the Fixed asset:

1. Go to Fixed asset work center
2. Search for Related asset and select Manual Posting -> Complete Scrapping
3. Click on Simulate or Post and system throws error message: 'Posting not possible; fixed asset incomplete' since the asset is incomplete.

The Migration Objects - Fixed Asset and Fixed Assets(Extended) must be disabled.

1. Go to Business Configuration workcenter .
2. Navigate to the Implementation project view.
3. Select the activity Enable Data Migration per Object.
4. Open the activity.
5. Under the Migration Object, the Fixed Asset and Fixed Assets(Extended) are Enabled.
6. You need to disable both of the tick boxes and click save.

After this, you will be able to post the Goods and Service Receipt.
