'Invalid Metadata from server - Cube tag in structure not found.'
"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
Environment
- SAP Analytics Cloud
- SAP NetWeaver
- SAP BW/4HANA
- SAP S/4HANA
Cause
- This issue occur due to one of the following reason:
- Cause 1:
Incorrect handler class: CL_BICS_INA_VERSION_HTTP has been maintained in service "/sap/bw/ina".
This causes the GetResponse requests to be handled by this incorrect class instead of the correct one. (CL_BICS_INA_HTTP_HANDLER_GR)
- Cause 2:
Chrome’s new behavior regarding blocking third party cookies.
Resolution
- To resolve the issue:
- Cause 1:
Remove the handler class: CL_BICS_INA_VERSION_HTTP from the service "/sap/bw/ina"
NOTE: For SAP S4HANA backend systems make sure you have followed the SAP Note:
2289865 - Configuration steps for S/4 HANA Analytics
- Cause 2:
You must configure your SAP on-premise data source to issue cookies with the following attributes:
- SameSite=None
- Secure
This will ensure Chrome and other browsers allow cross-site access to your SAP on-premise data source cookies from SAP Analytics Cloud. Without these settings, user authentication to your live data connections will fail, and Story visualizations based on these connections will not render.
How to configure that can be found on: SameSite Cookie Configuration for Live Data Connections | SAP Help Portal and the following KBA:
3548879 - How to set up SameSite cookie for live data connections to BW from SAP Analytics CloudSecond, on your browser cookies settings, check if it was confirmed that the back-end server (BW, SAP S/4HANA etc.) is allowed to access third party cookies.
In Chrome: Go to chrome://settings/content/cookies, and either 'Block third-party cookies' should be turned off, or you have to add the hostname of the back-end system to the 'Allow' section.
