Explanation of Add Modifier
- Add Modifier allows you to include other users in the form review process i.e. to modify a form.
- The users can provide ratings and feedback in the Modification stage, and will get a copy of the form in their completed folder, when the form is completed.
Explanation of Add Signer
-
The Add Signer button can be used to allow other users to sign off on a form during the Signature step.
- If a signer is added at the Modification stage, they will get inserted before the existing route map signers, meaning that the signer will first sign the form.
- If a signer is added at the Signature stage, they will get inserted after the existing route map signers.
Explanation of Remove Signer
The Remove Signer button allows you to remove the signers that are added by you in the current route map step. If you are granted permission to add signers to the form, you also have permission to remove the signers.
How to enable the Add Modifier, Add and Remove Signer buttons
-
To enable the Add Modifier button, navigate to Admin Center > Form Template Settings > choose a template, and select Allow Add Approver/Evaluator.
-
To enable the Add and Remove Signer button, navigate to Admin Center > Form Template Settings > choose a template, and make sure Hide Add Signer button is NOT selected.
-
Whether the Add and Remove Signer button is displayed in the Modify Stage or Signature stage depends on the following two radio buttons under Select Add Signers UI.
- v1 - Adding signers is allowed only during Modification stage
- v2 - Allows adding signers during Modification and Signature stages
Button Permissions
- Once enabled at the form template level, the button permissions for the Add Modifier, Add and Remove Signer buttons need to be permissioned in the Performance Form Template XML.
- The button permission types are:
-
- enabled – user can see and click the button (default)
- none – user can't see the button
Note: As a customer, you do not have access to Provisioning. To complete tasks in Provisioning, contact your Implementation Partner. See the following KBA on Implementation Requests: 2250186
Once permissioned correctly, the buttons will be displayed in the Action dropdown menu of the Route Map section:
and at the bottom of the form under "More Actions":
- After modifiers or signers are added in the form, the form will be routed to their inbox when being sent to next step.
- When adding a modifier, make sure to also provide the permission to different roles/user to work and finish the form, this will allow the modifier to route the form; The permission can be check on Manage template > Performance Template > General Settings > Button Permission.
- These users can also access the form from Team Overview.
- In addition, the newly added users are displayed in both the Route Map section on the form and the Audit Trail page.
- The added modifier's name in the route map cannot be renamed.
- The Add Modifier button will not display when current step is 1:1 Meeting step. If 1:1 Meeting option is enabled in the route map step, it should be the last step in the Modification stage of the route map.
- After a new route map step is added it cannot be removed.
- All approvers will have the ability to add other approvers; the permission cannot be restricted to only certain operators.
