2776882 - Advanced Reporting Metadata Sync/Reload (View Based Metadata) - Canvas Reports

• Metadata (Configuration) changes made in Employee Central are not reflecting in Advanced Reporting
• Fields recently configured/reconfigured in EC are not visible in Advanced Reporting or are grayed out
• Advanced Reporting fields are Out of Sync with Employee Central fields

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

• The Metadata sync was not automatic and required manual refresh of the tables by SAP SuccessFactors
• For even very small Metadata changes (Configuration changes) in EC, reach out to SAP SuccessFactors to get the Metadata refresh so any configuration change made in EC is reflected in Advanced Reporting

How the Metadata changes will be taken care if instance has VBM enabled:

1. Automatic refresh:
   1. Any Metadata change in EC will be reflected in Advanced Reporting within 48 hours(max). The task is scheduled every two days between 1:00 and 3:00 AM local DC time.
   2. A daily Job is scheduled for all Data center which sync the Metadata change from EC to Advanced Reporting.
2. Manual refresh (for immediate sync):
   1. Customers can now use the Purge Advanced Reporting Metadata Cache option to sync the Employee Central metadata changes, so the updates immediately reflect in Advanced Reporting.

Note: Please ensure there is DATA in the fields even dummy DATA (TEST) as no changes will be reflected unless there is.

Accessing the option:

• If the instance has Report Center enabled, you can access perform the Purge using these steps:
  
  
  1. Access Report Center and click 'View Schedules'
     
     
     
     
  2. Switch to the legacy Report Distributor Tool
     
     
  3. Access the Admin Section
     
     
     
     
  4. Purge Advanced Reporting Metadata Cache
