2777310 - Error 2753 may be raised on Japanese ASE if optimizer timed out - SAP ASE

• A 2753 error with Message empty may be raised on an ASE where Japanese language has been installed.

Msg 2753, Level 20, State 2:
Server '<ASE name>', Line 1:
Message empty.

• A 2753 error may be also logged in ASE errorlog.

server  Error: 2753, Severity: 20, State: 2

• This error occurs if :
• "enable monitoring" and "plan text pipe active" configuration parameter are 1.
• Or, showplan is enabled to see the query plan.
• And, ASE opimizer detects an optimization timeout specified by "optimization timeout limit" configuration parameter while processing a complex query.
