Resolution

Ensure all steps of the Contingent Worker configuration have been completed, as per the guide below, before starting the Import :

Contingent Workforce Management - Enabling Contingent Workers

Steps to Import Contingent Workers :

  • All the steps below are performed on Import Employee Data tool except for Step 4 which is on the Import and Export Data Tool.
  • There are seven different types of data that needs to be imported in the following order:

  1. Basic User Information

  2. Biographical Info

  3. Employment Details

    • Check that the "isContingentWorker" field is activated for Import on BCUI - employmentInfo element:

    • While running an Employment Details Import, set this field value to "Yes" on the Employment Details Import File:

  1. Personal Information

  2. Work Order Import

    • This Import needs to be performed on the Import and Export Data screen. Steps to run this Import can be found on the guide here:

Importing the Work Order Data

  1. Job Information
    • The First Record for Every user needs to be tied to an Event Reason associated with a SCWK (Start Contingent Worker) Event:

    • The End-Dated Records need not be Included on the import file since the system automatically Inserts an ECWK (End Contingent Worker) record on the Job Information based on the Work Order End Date.
