2777741 - System Displays Restricted In-Transit Stock in Stock Overview Against An Outbound Delivery

You want to know why the system is displaying +ve and -ve In-Transit stock against an outbound delivery though the process is completed.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Outbound Logistics Control work center
2. Go to Common Tasks view 
3. Choose New Stock Transfer Order
4. Enter Ship From as Non-3PL Site and Ship-to as 3PL Site.
5. Enter all the required details and perform save.
6. Now perform Goods Issue, complete Outbound Delivery, and Inbound Delivery processes.
7. Once it is done, go to Common Tasks view and check Stock Overview.
8. Here you find system displays In-Transit stock with +ve and -ve quantities against an Outbound Delivery

This is a 3PL stock transfer order scenario where Outbound Delivery is created from a non 3PL Site and Inbound Delivery is created for a 3PL Site with a restricted stock.On Release of Inbound Delivery, Goods amd Activity Confirmation gets created which moves the Stock from Restricted In-Transit to External Warehouse.

Therefore, in Stock Overview user can see +ve In-Transit-Unrestricted and -ve In-Transit Restricted.
User should perform Inbound for a Unrestricted Stock to avoid the negative In-Transit quantities.

Case 1:

1. Go to Third Party Logistics work center.
2. Go to the Common Tasks view.
3. Select Adjust In-Transit Stock.
4. Using Advanced Filter, enter respective Outbound Delivery ID.
5. Select both +ve and -ve In-Transit stock row one by one and choose Adjust In-Transit Stock to Zero.

Case 2:

1. Go to Third Party Logistics work center.
2. Go to 3PL Inbound Deliveries view 
3. Search respective 3PL Inbound Delivery ID.
4. Select and edit it.
5. Navigate to Line Items.
6. Perform Undo-Release of an Inbound Delivery ID.
7. Now here under Line Items, you can remove the quantity from the column: Restricted Quantity only.
8. Then Release the Inbound Delivery again.
9. It will remove +ve and -ve In-Transit stock from Stock Overview.
