2778035 - No virtual host ID allowed for Served License - SySAM

Symptom

  • When using the 'sysamcap' utility to get a hostid for a Sysam license, using switch
    • MACHINE - "sysamcap MACHINE" or
    • PARTITION - "sysamcap PARTITION"SySAM license

  • A SySAM license file for a license server cannot be generated with the hostid generated, which include prefix MACHINE-ID= or PARTITION-ID=
  • The license application on the SAP Support site returns:

Main Server: No virtual Host ID allowed for Served Licenses.
