2778405 - Error "You do not have permission to view this page" when accessing "Benefits Admin Overview" page - Employee Central

When accessing the "Benefits Admin Overview" page, some Employees are receiving the error message "You do not have permission to view this page".

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Global Benefits

1. Log in to the system or Proxy as the affected user
2. Go to the Benefits Admin Overview Page.

The Affected employee has a role that exclude themself from the target. To check it, follow the steps below:

1. Go to the RBP troubleshooting tool and see that the Affected user has permission to the Benefits Admin Overview. You can compare with an employee who can access.
2. Go to Manage Permission Roles, open the role in question, and check if there is "Exclude granted users from having the same access to themselves" below the target Population
3. You can also check by using the "Target Population Search" using the same Employee as the Access User and Target User:
   

Note: The engineering team is aware of this issue, and has created the code enhancement BEN-13074, but for now there is no plan for it to be launched. You may reach out to your CSM or contact SAP hotline to know updates in this regard.

The employee needs to have at least one role with the "Manage Benefits > Benefits Admin Overview" permission that does not exclude them from it. 

To correct it, you can:

1. Either remove the check from the existing role:
   
2. Or create a new role specific to Benefit Amin Overview (1) and do not check the "Exclude granted users"(2), and assign it to the employee:
   

If none of the above is feasible for your business requirements, as a workaround, the employee can use the Manage Data page to access benefit objects.
