2779461 - 'socket is not established' error between Cloud Integration and FTP server

Symptom

You are using the SAP Cloud Integration tenant's SSH Connectivity Test tool to test the connectivity to an FTP server and get an error:

  • "com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: timeout: socket is not established".

However, the TLS Connectivity Test is successful. If you are using an SFTP adapter to connect to an FTP server, you may get the following error in CPI:

  • "com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: Session.connect: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out (local port XXXXX to address YY.YYY.YYY.YYY (vsaxxxxxxxx.stl1.od.sap.biz), remote port XXX to address ZZZ.Z.ZZ.ZZZ)"
