2779580 - Release Times In Order to Cancel Leave Request

Symptom

You want to cancel a leave request but afterwards no approval is sent and the status is set to Cancellation Pending.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Self-Service work center.
  2. Select the My Requests view.
  3. Show Leave Requests - Completed.
  4. Select the column Type of Leave.
  5. Hover over the request.
  6. Select Cancel from the dropdown-menu.
  7. No cancellation approval is received.

Cause

The leave request does not trigger an approval, because the times for the leave request have not been released yet.

Resolution

  1. Go to the Time Administration work center.
  2. Select the Employee view.
  3. Find the Employee related.
  4. Click the Edit button.
  5. Select the Employee Times tab.
  6. Find the time entries that are associated with the leave request.
  7. Mark the relevant day/period.
  8. Click the Action button.
  9. Select the option Activate.
